The dormitory is not only a temporary residence, but also a transitional platform for young people to live with others before entering society. With the shared living style of modern urban spirit, it not only provides accommodation for young students studying away from home, but also cultivates students' autonomy and creates possibilities for public interaction. It covers different types of active and quiet interactions, establishing a learning community for cooperation, sharing, and openness, realizing the educational practice of "student-centered" approach.


We and Y ARCH collaborated again on design for Dormitory No. 3 at National Ilan University. As usual, we implemented the concept of "dormitories are also places for learning" with this clear core concept. For more images, please click and follow us on facebook：

國立宜蘭大學三號學舍

宿舍不僅是階段性居所，亦作為進入社會前與群體共居的轉換平台。以現代都市精神的共享生活型態，除了提供青年學子離家求學住宿機能，也培養學生自主性與營造公共性的可能。機能涵蓋不同類型動、靜交流，建立學習群體合作、分享、開放之共學能力場所，落實「以學生為本」的教育實踐。
